It's more than just a church, it's a ministry equipping people for everyday life

Starting Fresh

I have decided to start fresh and clean with new blogs. This year seems like it is going to busy but powerful year, not only personally, but at LWFWC as well.

Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish."

This year in my life I have asked God for fresh vision, fresh words, and fresh anointing. You see if we live off of past victories and past accomplishments they will quickly starve us. One night when I was in bed sleeping, the Lord woke me up and said, "You can't live on yesterday's fumes." I guess I fell asleep, but when I woke I remembered what the Lord had said. Live on yesterday's fumes? What was that supposed to mean? Then it hit me... When a car is out of gas, it will putter along for a short while on fumes. As Christians, I think we live off of the fumes too much. The Past. Past victories, past services, past times spent with God. The Lord showed me that everyday, I needed to refill. Everyday I need to seek Him for a fresh refilling.

Our church has been kind of experiencing this same thing as well. We have for so long, lived off past experiences. This is a common issue in our small, rural churches; living on the past fumes. We have got to seek God for the Holy Spirit to keep us refilled and relevant because we are up against a competitive enemy and world.

Today, I pray that if you are living a mediocre life in Christ, that you seek Him for a fresh start. Let Him give you new fuel for today!

God Bless,
PM
